Navrachna Foundation for Entrepreneurship Development
The New Generation Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (NewGen IEDC) is an initiative by the Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India, implemented through EDII, Ahmedabad. It aims to promote innovation and entrepreneurship among science and technology students by supporting the development of innovative, commercially viable projects.
Established within academic institutions, NewGen IEDCs provide mentorship, guidance, and resources to help students transform ideas into startups. The centres also work to build a strong entrepreneurial culture in the Host Institution, encouraging students to become job creators rather than job seekers.

Objective
To empower student-led innovation by providing financial support of up to Rs.2.5 lakh per project for Proof-of-Concept (PoC) or prototype development, while also fostering entrepreneurship through mentorship, capacity building, and commercialization pathways.
Available Support Prototype Grant (Up to Rs.2.5 lakh per project)
Rs.25,000—Mentor Support
Rs.25,000—Company Registration Support for Mentee (stipend to be used for forming a legal entity)
Rs.200,000—Materials, Fabrication, prototyping

Initial Shortlisting: Based on innovation, feasibility, and social/commercial potential
Eligibility Criteria
1.Each selected idea must include one mentor and one mentee from I.T.S Engineering College.
2. Mentees are required to register their company using the company registration support provided under the project.
3. If the mentee’s company is already registered, valid bills/invoices related to the company formation must be submitted.
4. Upon verification of documents, a reimbursement of up to ₹25,000 will be provided.
5. The prototype must be completed within 6 months after receiving the required materials.
6. A short delay may be accommodated, but only after committee approval.
7. Any machinery or non-consumable item purchased under the project must be duly submitted at the time of final project submission.
8. Monthly progress reports must be submitted in the prescribed format.

Be ready with your presentation in the given format. It will be held the next day after the last date, and the schedule will be emailed to you.
