Development of Electrically Insulating Biodegradable Shellac based Fibers

Shellac, a biodegradable natural resin, is brittle alone. We
blended it with synthetic resins like Polyamide or Epoxy to
create strong fibers via solution blending and solvent
evaporation. These resulting fibers possess high dielectric
properties and biodegradability, making them ideal for ecofriendly,
high-insulation electrical clothing applications.
